Det saknas ett gemensamt språk för hur barn leker på fritids. Det menar Eva Kane, lektor i pedagogik på Jönköpings universitet. Enligt henne riskerar det att leda till såväl onödiga konflikter bland personalen som till att barn inte får det stöd de behöver och har rätt till. Hennes forskning fokuserar på hur personalen förhåller sig till leken på fritids och några av de slutsatser hon drar är att vi måste ge mer utrymme för lek. Och att vi måste prata om den. Men då krävs ord och ett språk för lekandet. "Enligt styrdokumenten är leken en stor och viktig del av fritidshemmens uppdrag. Det måste vi ta på allvar", säger Eva Kane.
