Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius und Co. sind auf die große Leinwand zurückgekehrt: „Jackass Forever“ ist eine große Reunion der alten Garde, ihnen zur Seite stehen einige neue, aber nicht weiter interessante Crew-Mitglieder, wenngleich sonst noch alles so wie damals zu sein scheint. Alte Stunts werden re-inszeniert und nicht selten radikalisiert, noch immer scheint keiner der Jungs erwachsen geworden zu sein. Es war und ist geschmacklos und blöde, doch die gegenwärtigen Ereignisse lassen uns das „Jackass“-Phänomen mit einer anderen Brille betrachten. Plötzlich gibt es wieder eine regelrechte Sehnsucht nach Aufrüstung und Stärke – sogar Linksliberale leben gerade ihren Bellizismus aus. „Jackass Forever“ hat eine zähmende Kraft: Klar, die Stunts, Pranks und Challenges sind oft brutal und hart an der Grenze, aber sie sind keineswegs Ausdruck dessen, was im Feuilleton gern als „toxische Männlichkeit“ bezeichnet wird. Im Gegenteil: Knoxville und die Seinen sind Akteure unserer postheroischen Gesellschaft. Und „Jackass Forever“ ist ein geradezu pazifistischer Film. Mehr dazu von Wolfgang M.
