Rooted in Greatness is the new outdoor projection mapping installation near McCormick Place on Cermak Road in Chicago, and it was created to celebrate the 200th birthday of the state of Illinois. Using NEC 4K projectors and a total of 30,000 lumens to project the faces of 50 influential people from the state onto three unique trees, this immersive outdoor art installation reminds all passersby of what greatness truly is. On this episode, NEC Display Solutions' Sr. Product Manager Rich McPherson joins us to share the details of this project that highlights history by using technology of the future.
