Blake & Justin are joined by their part-time co-host Eric as they sip Lagavulin 8 year old, discuss controversial whisky opinions, and deep dive into exegesis, Biblical theology, and Systematic theology. The trio shares some great laughs, as well as great reflection on the sweet salvation we have in Christ alone--and do their best to explain why they all affirm a Calvinistic Soteriology (Salvation Theology) by discussing fallen man's moral ability (or lack thereof) to choose God.
This is the first in a series of five episodes examining the five points of Calvinism -- a reference to the acrostic "TULIP" which summarizing the Reformed "Doctrines of Grace" pertaining to salvation theology (or Soteriology). The Five points are:
1. Total Depravity
2. Unconditional Election
3. Limited Atonement
4. Irresistible Grace
5. Perseverance of the Saints
Next week, we'll continue our exploration and discuss the "U" of TULIP: Unconditional Election while sipping Lagavulin 9 year old whiskey.
