Quick get-up & the power of screenless time.

The trick is we so often hear our mind saying: if only I could be awake and charged all the time, how much will I do then, what kind of fulfilled life would I have? Reality is, it’s so flipped into 180 degrees from the truth.

By getting enough sleep and having good routine of it, our productivity levels goes higher than we could ever dream of, time expands so to say and happiness is an occasion no longer, it becomes a constant. Do you want that? Let’s start from there.

Any change in daily routine and habits can be long lasting only if you really want this.

  1. First and foremost, YOU WANT THIS. You want to feel like having more time, being more efficient and charged, create more and create better, improve, and have time for yoruself and have fun in life. This is non negotiable, you want this. And you want more sleep than you usually allow yourself to get. Start from one hour more than before and get to 8-9 hour charge. It will give you pure waking hours and productive time doubles up, trust me, or years of science if you will.

  2. SCREENLESS TIME ISYOUR BEST SECRET WEAPON. Checking facebook, twitter, checking email, watching hundred and one inspirational shows, making another hour of staring at your renders and simulations.. We’re so addicted to screens and yet willing to be charged, motivated and balanced in life.

Being one foot in ‘can’t resist checking’ and other ‘man, I need some time out!’ is a highly stressful place to be in.

And it’s so ridiculous when we start witnessing our behavior. Not being judgmental though, seeing it with love and laughter. So the suggestion would be schedule screenless time. at least three times a day, morning, evening and during the day. For an hour or two each time. And this goes to the third tip.

  1. CREATE YOUR MORNING AND EVENING ROUTINE. Be in charge of your morning and evening. How could you be motivated to get up from bed quickly when first thing you do is chek in with the world and go traight to work? You need to make it pleasant. Tune into your own strength. Make You a priority. Wake up earlier for this. Have screenless time while haveing your breakfast, stretching and being a little still. You can even go out for a walk if you feel more adventurous. Then write down 3 most important steps you can and will take today to move forward with you vision. And then, only then, create. Schedule your ‘response’ mode as Sean McCabe calls it, when you chek your mail or anything else and be open to it being way better than you can imagine.

You simply own your time and it becomes owning your life.

Prioritise You, prioritise ease in the morning and ease out in the evening. Dimm your lights, turn off all screens at least hour before sleep. You can read books, write with paper and a pen, oh so unusuall. But it does great job for your brain. As is pleasant talk with your friend. See how more easily you fall asleep. And how much better the sleep itself is. Your brain gets permission to rest and renew itself when you give a gift of screenless time.

  1. MOVE. Move during the day. There’s nothing worse than sitting in chair all day long. The time when you get a cup of tea doesn’t count. We all need a real great move. Body is made for being active. And this goes to physicall activities, yoga, running, or at least going outside for a walk. It’s so very true that if you get enough motion and still time, your body is fully happy and you get more deep, charging sleep.

Repeat these few steps every day and you could not help but be phsyched about how geat is to welcome the new charged, happy, productive and exciting day.
