In this interview, Dan Andrews shares his personal story of selling his business, and the unexpected challenges he discovered when he had to let go of the dream he had built. In this interview you will learn:

  • The pro's and con's of a permanent travel lifestyle
  • Post-exit hangover and what to do about it
  • Why having a day job can be a great thing and how it prepares you for entrepreneurship.

Toward the end of 2007, Dan Andrews and his partner Ian Schoen started a product design and e-commerce company that grew to multi-seven figures in annual revenues. They exited that business in 2015 (woohoo!). Over the years, they shared their story via their weekly Thursday morning podcast, called Tropical MBA, as well as those of the entrepreneurs they've met along the way. They were inspired to grow a different kind of business and wanted to share the ins and outs of how it's done.
