A few years ago I wrote a book called Test cricket: the unauthorised biography. This is a podcast series on the history of cricket through the people and moments that made the game. In our first episode we go back to the beginning of Test cricket. That birth involved betting, jail and a journalist deciding the whole thing was worthy.
