Have you ever felt overwhelmed and under supported? I’ve been there too, but I’ve found that when you meet a challenge head on, that can be one of the best ways to grow. Having a support network is a great thing, we all should strive for that and not be afraid to reach out when we need to. Another thing that is just as important though, is the ability to figure things out on your own when you have to.

You might feel like you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes, and that’s okay - it just means you aren’t close enough to the end yet, but at least you aren’t at the beginning. Having a plan of your own and a support group to reach out to can absolutely get you through some of the hardest times.

In this episode we talk about…

  • Why having a good support network is important.
  • We can’t do everything on our own, even if we think we can. It’s okay to ask for help.
  • Have the ability to know that you can deal with things on your own when needed.
  • Don’t over rely on support, you can’t get to the point that you don’t challenge yourself because you are dependent on others support.
  • Nobody can truly put themselves in your shoes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help each other through support.

Powerful Quotes to Remember:

  • In that moment, I had one of two options. I could throw my hands in the air, give up, and decide that’s it. Or I could figure it out.
  • Be confident in the ability to handle yourself if needed.
  • I had that adversity but I also had the drive. I knew that I would be okay, no matter how the chips fell.
