Hey Everyone! Scott Here bringing you another Lesson! This week we have a very special guest, Anna Cucciardo whom owns and operates a Music Lessons Tutoring School. She gets into the details of operating a business. It is jam packed with knowledge that can help anyone take their career to the next level. About our guest: I was born & raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I continue to reside. Since I began drumming in 1997, I have been involved with many different musical projects (please see the partial list at the bottom of this page). My current musical undertakings include being Director & Educator at Music Time Academy in Livermore and playing drums with the bands: Muncie (formerly Go Kart Mozart, Kid Moe), West Grand Boulevard, TV Mike & the Scarecrowes, Professor Jones, Tory & the Teasers, and Mama Foxxy & the Whiskey Gypsy Rebels. Since graduating from The University of California, Berkeley in 2006, I have regularly toured across the United States, averaging 100+ live performances per year. Although I studied music in school (earning a Music minor at UCB & Certificates in Commercial Music and Recording Arts from Diablo Valley College), I feel that the process of teaching and practicing has been a more effective music education. Since 2008, I have worked with hundreds of students both in groups & one-on-one, with ages ranging as young as 4 months old in my “Family Music Time” class all the way up to senior citizens. I enjoy exploring the underlying patterns of music alongside my students, encouraging natural, organic musical development that often mirrors other sorts of language development. Whether teaching or performing, my intention and source of motivation is to share the joy of music in the hopes that we can all feel a little more connected! Key Points from today's episode: Getting Started: Anna Explains how she came to own her Private Lessons School Music Time Academy Operating a Business: Anna talks about what it takes to turn a business around and make it successful Learning From Benny Greb: Anna reminisces about attending one of Benny Greb's drum camps. That's it for today's lesson.
