If you have a special way to teach letter tricks, do it! I have always seen creative ways to teach math and reading where students don’t forget! Something just stood out to me when I was teaching ce, ci, cy and ge, gi, gy. The letter “k” is also special when followed by e, I, and y and “k” says its name. We don’t use “k” with vowels “o” or “u”. I love teaching grammar tricks. I use a Picture Card, a Phonogram Card, and also have the student complete a graphic circle with words using these three categories. I hope you check this out. This is helping students remember.

There are so many genius dyslexic kids in our homes and their gifts are hidden because of low-self - esteem, or because someone hasn’t helped them identify their gift. And the gift needs nurturing.
