Intent verification is the topic I'm going to talk about today.

Hi, and welcome, my name is Harold F. Rich, and today we're going to talk about intent verification.

In one of my other videos, I talked about keyword research, which is a major step if we come to the intent verification, and we also talk about if you go back, I think it was yesterday. If you go back to the video from yesterday, you will find how you can actually figure out the intensity. So the intent definition was yesterday.

If you look at the intent definition, so you did define what the intent was, what did the user wanted to find if they type in the individual keywords and today we're talking about the verification process. How can you verify if it is the right intent you want to go after?

So you pick the keyword, you figure out what could be the right kind of information that the users are looking for, but you're not sure at the moment if this is the right piece of content that you're going to produce, so I want to help you with that, and this is why I actually defined this user or this intent verification process.

We can figure out if this is really the right piece of content that you're going to run.

We just simply do that by typing in the keyword into the Google search and see what is coming up. If it would be a keyword like "buy a car," if you type that in, it's very likely that you'll find car dealers. You will also maybe find eBay and stuff like that.

We are not talking about the AdWords results.

If you look at the organic search results, you will see what kind of results Google is displaying. What we do is we take every keyword, put it into the Google search and then write down the first 20 pages. If this is informational content, or if it shows a product, then it's a mix, we write all of that down.

In most of the cases, we see it's very clear that in this case, like "buy a car" it would be most of the time you will probably see the product straight away. For some, you would have some additional information and for some, you will maybe have a category page, and this is what we want to figure out for every keyword.

We will write that down and then we will look at the list in the end and say, "okay, 90% of the pages we found for the keyword have actual content that will exactly display the product straight away, and there will be a buy button for it and it will have approximately 500 words of content on average." Alright, additional information on that.

This tells me, okay, this is the piece of content or this is the type of content. It seems that Google is satisfied with that because Google sees, but it's not like the Google is satisfied, but Google can tell us if users are satisfied with that, because Google knows what the user's like, or what the users are looking for and that tells us, okay, if 90% of this content is structured in the same way - if 90% is showing the product, showing the additional information, showing the buy button, blah blah blah, having around 500 words, 1000 words of content, that tells us that this is the direction that we should go.

We should also create the piece of content like that.

This is the verification process. I hope that was useful. I would suggest that you click below or on top of the link that you will find there. I'm going to send you a free book. The book is the E-commerce SEO Secrets book. If you click on the link it will take you to a landing page, you can just leave your name and your email address, and I will send you a free book.

I hope that was useful and I will see you in one of my next videos, probably tomorrow. Bye, bye.
