The structure has a stepped design that tapers at the top, reminiscent of classical Manhattan architecture, and has already won an INOVA award from Quebec Urban Design Institute. The US$38-million project will house more than 300 condominiums with views of the St. Lawrence River or Mount Royal, four floors of offices and a supermarket. It is cloaked in a black and blue curtain wall. ONE DEAD, ONE INJURED IN JOBSITE ELEVATOR MISHAP IN INDIA A 35-year-old female construction worker was killed, and another was injured as a result of being crushed by an elevator on a jobsite in Hyderabad, India, on January 30, Telangana Today reports. The injured woman was transported to a hospital and reported to be in stable condition. Police are investigating the incident, which involved the women becoming caught under a construction elevator. The fatality was attributed to severe head injuries. COLORADO ELEVATOR COMPANY LOOKS TO ADD FRANCHISES PEAK ElevatorTM, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, has announced franchise opportunities in 35 U.S. states, with the remainder of the U.S. to follow later this year.
