Friends, colleagues and relations are encouraged to pay their respects at Alfred Dallaire's Funeral Home at 2159 Boulevard St-Martin East, Laval (corner St-Martin and Autoroute 19) on December 2, from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. The funeral service will take place at La Visitation Church at 1847 Boulevard Gouin East, Montreal, on December 3 at 10 a.m. NAEC HIRES EXPO VETERAN The National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) has hired Ryan Nettleton with responsibilities for sales, marketing, future directions, and human resources and personnel management. Additionally, he will mentor and lead NAEC's current staff with responsibilities in brand message, press releases and social media. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Nettleton has been in the exposition industry for more than 16 years. In his current role, he will focus on associate support in all of NAEC's interests, particularly business development, marketing and membership growth. RESIDENTAL TOWER TAKING SHAPE NEAR CANARY WHARF The Madison, a 53-story, 423-unit residential tower near Canary Wharf in London, is taking shape, and developer LBS Properties reports strong interest, World Property Journal reports. Designed inside and out by Make Architects, The Madison will boast a host of resident amenities such as a lounge, gym, spa, screening room and business center. It will have a limited number of car-parking spaces accessible by vehicle lift. LBS reports that, in addition to its style, the property is attractive because of its proximity to Canary Wharf and public transportation, such as the Crossrail railway station coming online in 2018. STAGE ONE OF SKYHAUS TOPS OUT IN SYDNEY A 31-story tower that represents stage one of the Lateral Estate residential development Skyhaus in the Liverpool area of Sydney has topped out, The Urban Developer reports. Located at 420 Macquarie Street, Skyhaus was designed by Liverpool-based Mosca Pserras and will ultimately include a pair of towers connected by a five-story podium. Expected to add approximately 440 apartments to the Liverpool market, the development also includes resident amenities such as a pool and ground-floor retail. Phase one will be complete in March 2017, with phase two scheduled for completion in 2018.
