The steps to being a great speaker with Steve Rohr. He is an OSCAR and Academy Awards Publicist.

Steve Rohr is a nationally recognized Communication expert, educator, and bestselling author. He is a frequent guest expert on local and national TV/Radio across the U.S., Canada, and UK. Notably, he has recurred on the “WGN Morning Show” (CW, Chicago), the national talk show “The Social” (CTV, Canada), “Good Morning Britain” (ITV), Sirius/XM Radio, and Sirius/XM Canada. Additionally, Steve has been featured in the pages of INC., Fast Company, AARP’s Life Reimagined, The Hollywood Reporter, Toronto Sun, and Toronto Star among other print and digital outlets. Steve is also a regular contributor to Backstage.com, the premier industry resource for actors.

This year, Steve was tapped to be the Show Publicist for the Oscars®, after serving in various roles for eight previous years. As the Show Publicist, Steve spearheaded publicity initiatives for the live broadcast reaching 225 countries worldwide and an audience of several hundred million. He will continue in this role for the 2017 Oscars.

As an educator, Steve has taught Communication courses at three Southern California colleges and Public Relations at Loyola Marymount University and California State University, Long Beach. Along with noted psychologist Dr. Shirley Impellizzeri (“Dr. Drew,” “The Doctors”) he is co-author of the bestselling how-to book Scared Speechless: 9 Ways to Overcome Your Fears and Captivate Your Audience (Career Press, March 2016).

He is currently writing a second book, which will be published spring 2017. Steve earned his Master’s degree in Communication at Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Communication from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN).
