“Be patient, don’t yell, and be positive and everything will be ok”

The messages around about parenting are there, but after TRYING to be patient, to NOT yell, and to be positive, I know I felt like a failure more often than not.

Looking back I see I was approaching it all wrong. I was trying to ACT patient, rather than feel patient, and the difference is huge.

In this episode, Valerie Kolik opens up about how to actually feel patient, both with ourselves and our kids.

Here you’ll learn:

*why counting to ten, holding your breath, or just being positive don’t work

*how the ways we were raised affect our ability to be patient now

*how to turn that all around

*how to help our kids learn to be patient

*how to help them work through impatient times

*AND how to come back from an impatient time of our own
