In "Let's Eat," Peggy Fleischer is joined by her daughter, Sarah. They demonstrate making one particular smoothie, but give suggestions that apply to any combination of ingredients. For the smoothie they made, you will need:
- 1 banana,
- 1 pear,
- 1 cup soy milk,
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 tbsp. almond butter,
- Crushed ice: from a handful to about half a cup.
If adding oats or seeds to your smoothie, grind them in the blender first. Add fruits and greens, and blend for about 30 seconds. Add all other ingredients except for ice, and blend for about 2 minutes. Then, add ice and blend for about 30 more seconds. You may need to scrape the sides of the blender each time, depending on the ingredients you are using.
