While America and the rest of the world are still reeling from the political and economic devastation of CoViD-19, we are seeing an unprecedented move to continue to restrict both the movements of citizens, as well as their future job prospects at the same time. Last year when we talked about the evolution of warfare, I think the effects hadn't hit home until now. All of this and more comes on the heels of a little more than half of the American population being declared "domestic extremists" by the incoming administration. Political escalations have risen to a point nearing confrontation, and that is ultimately dangerous. Whenever we are unable to have civil discourse, in any setting, peaceful resolution will never be met, making violent confrontation an eventuality. Quickly, with these things are more, we are seeing a dangerous recipe for our collective futures take shape. Growing instability, lack of economic opportunity, political polarization and vitriolic rhetoric from people in key political positions is creating a hostile environment that isn't conducive to education or growth, if anything, it sees those things as a threat. Our very necessity for upward mobility and progress is being weaponized against us, as we're being condemned for natural human behavior; only the future can reveal where this takes us.
