Join us for a change of pace as Ben works through some real life relationship issues with a former girlfriend. That's right. While attempting to resolve some differences that were part of a very recent break-up, Ben asked if they could record the conversation, and she agreed. For a show that covers all aspects of love and relationships and sex and dating, it was a great opportunity to document that very unique experience where life overlaps art. The conversation is raw and un-curated. After making some mistakes and discussing some things on the podcast that were fairly inaccurate, and extremely hurtful, Ben decided to use the recording studio as a venue for making amends. The show is an important lesson in accountability for the things we say, and the messages we put into the world through digital media. It's easy to get wrapped up in embellishment and story-telling, and even easier not to anticipate the fallout and harm one's words can cause to another person. It's a real life glimpse into a very intimate conversation between two people who are still reeling from a breakup, and most importantly, it's lesson in relationship etiquette - both what not to do in the first place, and what it looks like for two adults to have a painful, yet emotionally mature, conversation and experience together.
