In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk to my geek-adjacent wife, Karen Walker, about her thoughts on geek music and this podcast. She actually requested to be on, and I’ve been wanting to have on fans of geek music, so this seemed like a good opportunity to do exactly that. The closest thing to planning that we did was that I gave her the questions in advance, something I don’t typically do. We didn’t discuss her answers, although obviously I had some kind of idea what most of them would be. But she did bring up some stuff that I wasn’t necessarily expecting, so it makes for an interesting discussion, I think.
Songs played in the show (as chosen by Karen and myself):
- “Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock” by MC Lars
- “Anything But Plain” by Marc with a C
- “Cats at Parties” by The Doubleclicks
