Ask These Questions to Build Better Relationships | @The Skin Deep
Manage episode 316078939 series 2793065
On this episode of the Far Out with Faust podcast we’re forging a connection with the Founder and CEO of @The Skin Deep — and creator of The And relationship card game — Topaz Adizes.
Listen in as Adizes explains how his personal journey led him to create a house of brands — aka a creative studio — focused on the human experience. Team members Ashika and Sydney join in to explain how the YouTube video series The And turned into a global phenomenon.
The Skin Deep began with one film that ended up winning a documentary Emmy award — and spawning a global communication revolution. Learn about the projects that have evolved since then: The And (focused on couples and relationships), Honest X (focused on sexuality), The Dig (focused on family/community).
The idea, explains Adizes, is to create a safe space to explore what it means to be human.
It’s time to get vulnerable. But let’s do it low key: we’re just playing games here. No agendas so we can just listen, because let’s face it: we’ve been doing Way. Too. Much. Talking.
The Skin Deep’s The And series on YouTube is the antithesis of reality TV: it’s as real as real gets. Remember when we had permission to see another person’s face while they were trying to communicate with us? We miss that.
It’s also time to face facts: technology masquerading as connection isn’t going anywhere — so what are we gonna do about it? Let’s quit monologuing and get down to some good old fashioned dialogue.
Because in the end, the questions are just as important as the answers.
