The Criterion Break is back again, continuing our miniseries on Wong Kar-Wai. The next films in the beautiful World of Wong Kar-Wai box set are Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. Blake discusses his deep affection for the auteur’s 1994 crossover smash, while the other two chat about whether or not the film clicked for them. We then dive into 1995’s companion piece and determine that it is most definitely a vibe.
Blake can be found on Letterboxd @therealjohng. Derrick can be found on Instagram AND Letterboxd @dervdude.
