In todays episode Adrian Lawrence talks about the forthcoming Google algorithm update known as Web Core Vitals, this will be a challenge for webmasters as sites that don't meet the criteria will be pushed down in the rankings whilst those that do will be rewarded with better results.
The challenge is that the criteria are very tough to achieve because it means re-writing code to work much faster than most sites do at present. Also mobiles have slow processers which make them particularly tough to optimise for.
The aim of this update is to improve the user experience which to be fair is a good objective and unlike other historic updates Google has given the webmaster community plenty of notice of this change.
