Deep in the farthest reaches of the world, where the ice and snow reign supreme, scientists and researchers lock themselves away in underground research facilities for months at a time. What happens when their peaceful existence is invaded by outside forces, by the intrusion of the creature known as -- The Thing.


This week, I discuss the mythology behind the day night cycle, tell the story the Thing, review John Carpenter's legacy, the cult following of the movie and similar horror movies of the 80s and discuss the real life murder case in 2000 in an Antarctic research base.
