“Creating a nation that values and includes all people with mental illness.” This is the vision for the Like Minds Like Mine Project.\r\nFighting Stigma is hosted by people who have lived experience of mental illness, and for the mental health sector. The show aims to make a difference in our community by breaking down the barriers that discriminate against people with experience of mental illness and their family whanau members, and ultimately change people’s attitudes and behaviour. The show focuses on the main three mental illnesses - Schizophrenia, Bipolar and Depression. All information is researched weekly to give listeners a better view of mental illness.\r\nThe show offers a holistic approach towards the journey towards recovery, and features a range of guest speakers who support and promote the Like Minds Like Mine Project. \r\nThis is a weekly show broadcast on Free FM, an access radio station proudly supported by NZ on Air. www.communityradio.co.nz
