One year before the (original) Star Wars trilogy would be brought to a close, and three months after Arnold ran around half-nekkid with a sword, filmmaker Don Coscarelli graced the world with THE BEASTMASTER! Starring Marc Singer (better known from the TV series "V" or this?), warrior Dar is kind of like Dr. Dolittle by way of He-Man... he talks to animals while wielding a sword in sandals. Donna's mom from "That 70's Show" (Tanya Roberts) is in it, as well as the dad from "Good Times" (John Amos), and the coach from DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY (Rip Torn)! It's from the 80's... it's dated... it's weird. And the Film School Janitors review it!
