Como a teoria, popularizada por David Simons e Janet Travell, explica, através da identificação e tratamento de pontos-gatilho, esse fenômeno?

Há quem diga que as hipóteses geradas, partindo-se dessa teoria, falham em lógica e em ciência. E por conta disso, essa teoria já foi refutada cientificamente.

Além disso, os tratamentos, baseados nesse modelo teórico, não possuem evidências de benefícios porque você está tratando algo que de fato não existe!
