On the daily, I hear you: “I’m afraid to step on the scale.” “I’m afraid to eat that many calories.” “I’m afraid to sign up for a 5k.” “I’m afraid if I eat something sweet (or salty, or snacky, or whatever) that I won’t stop.” “I’m afraid if I stop exercising for a day that I’ll never start up again.” We are afraid of so many things that aren’t truly fearful.
