Today’s podcast is all about HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED TO EXERCISE! There are two things people do wrong that derail their ability to sustain an exercise program. Ask yourself these two questions. Are you someone who wants to love exercise, but actually hates it? Do you start a new exercise program every year on January 1, only to quit 5 or 6 weeks later?

Consider this, maybe you don’t have a problem with motivation. Maybe there isn’t something wrong with you that makes you unable to exercise! Maybe it’s something else. In my experience, the problem is twofold. Usually the person has given exercise a job, like weight loss, and they are doing the wrong exercise. Listen in today if you relate to this issue. There are two easy hacks I discuss this week to fix this problem.

DON’T GIVE EXERCISE A JOB
FIND MOVEMENT YOU ENJOY

What I have found, after more than 20 years of working with people in private practice, is that most people try the same thing when it comes to working out. They join a gym, and they start on a cardio machine. They usually don’t enjoy the workout, but they want to work out because of some goal, like weight loss or stress reduction. You might ask, “Isn’t that what exercise is for?” The answer is sort of.

Giving things a job, can be toxic. Ever heard of a couple who decides to have a baby in order to bring them closer together? That baby comes into the world with a job—to fix the couples relationship. Guess how often that works?

The way to fix the cycle of wanting to work out, but then quitting might be easier than you thought. The podcast is only 11 minutes, but has a powerful method that can ensure you never fail at exercise again.
