Tristan Heanue is a well known face on the Irish acting scene, appearing in the likes of Vikings and Cardboard Gangsters. Not one to wait for the phone to ring with acting gigs, in recent years Tristan has written, directed and starred in his own short films. His directorial debut won best first short at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2015. Tristan talks about making the jump from acting to writing and directing and how he uses the landscape of his native Connemara as a character in his films.
