Round 3, 2015

After some positive feedback about D.J’s input into the podcasts for a number of years, we have finally decided to promote him to a full-time staff member. Well done old son!

Who would have thought a crowd at an Essendon v Carlton game would be so low. Blame the footy supporters who showed their angst against the peptides saga for refusing to attend red and black games.

On the positive side, how good does big Tommy Boyd look? This kid could be anything and even though Footscray were thumped, he showed up Brian Lake/Harris.

Richmond just did what was necessary in an unimpressive win, whilst North showed that they can’t quite cut the mustard in a disappointing loss.

Whilst I am enjoying the positive impacts of umpires adjudicating to the rules (and not before time Kevin Bartlett you tool), I detest stupid ridiculous free-kicks that are no umpired consistently. Does the new ‘blocking’ interpretation come to mind????
