FTN small square

After a little preamble we talk about list design. We talk about how to detach yourself from the things you want to have in the list and boil it down to the things you need. We also talk about some upcoming events and tournaments.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for listening and the support. We have a couple of t-shirts up for sale on Teespring. Please check them out. After a lot of thought I decided to do a pilot run on this service. Please check them out here. Please also consider leaving us a five star review in whatever service you listen to the show. I’ll read every five star review on air.

In the first part of the show we chat about our real world science and the first pictures complied of a black hole 55 million light years away. It’s crazy to think about but also something that gives good perspective in life.

In part two get get down and dirty with army list design. We talk specifically about an Ork list but then more general about how you make sense of all the options that an army provides. Its easy to get distracted by the shiny toys and the things we think we need…

I’m as guilty as anyone else. – I play the Wouldn’t It Be Cool If scenario in my head and look to pull of unrealistic combos or thin efficiencies during the game. That adds up to taking losses. We don’t want that! Hopefully this chat helps you take an objective look as well.

Coming up at the end of the month a few of us will be at the Barnyard Brawl. I’m happy to be a sponsor of this event and will be playing. The Wrong Way Kids will be putting on their first official public event later this year the Armageddon Series: Coastal Assault. Tickets are up for sale right now. Please join us. You will have a good time. It will be a full ITC format event and an excellent opportunity to get ITC overall and faction points.

We’re delighted to continue to represent Discount Games Inc as sponsor of our show. They are helping bring FTN to you. Please check them out and support the organizations that support us. Discount Games Inc. offers Games Workshop products at 15% off the suggested retail at their website here. You can send an email to the owner Jay. These guys run a podcast too! Check them out. I believe they currently have few of the GW Holiday Bundles still available too!

We proudly represent Firmer Terra as well. I had a great time speaking with one of the founders and I thought their offering would be PERFECT for a lot of gamers out there. Right now they are offering impressive shipping promotions to buyers in the US. Please check them out.

Let the tools do the work. I’ve been struggling with motivation a bit so I’ve been looking for any time savers or ‘cheats’ I can find for hobby work. I’ve fallen back on assembly to get me through these times and the Assembly Paint Handle from GW is the truth!

Thank you and Enjoy!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.
