Please welcome A.D. ADAMS to FOWL PLAYERS RADIO!!
A.D. is a veteran drummer originally from Michigan but began his career in the DC-Northern Virginia area, performing with DC/NOVA/Baltimore area bands "Monarch", "Centerfold" and "Dirty Looks"; later became the House Production Manager at "The Bayou" in Washington DC for several years before returning to drumming. He has toured and recorded with many well known artists, and he has great stories which made for a very entertaining interview, such as hearing how Graham Chapman claimed he and Keith Moon invented bungee jumping, getting "the business" from Lemmy of Motorhead (and giving it right back), a wild night with Matt Sorum from Guns-n-Roses, doing sound at the Bayou for Todd Rundgren, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Charlie Watts, and others, filling in on drums during a soundcheck with The Band, getting yelled at by Chuck Berry, and so much more! We also discussed the lost art of "flyering" to promote shows, and what a big part of a magical time that was! I thank A.D. for appearing on Fowl Players Radio and sharing many of his experiences (and he has many more to share in a future episode!) According to A.D., we just scratched the surface.....
