More from the world of country as an icon passes.

FOX's Michelle Pollino reports:

I'm Michelle Pollino.

The country music world mourning the passing of one of the genres' icons, Glen Campbell, who passes at the age of 81 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton and more were just some of the noteworthy figures to pay tribute to Campbell. Many posting video tributes of the superstar's famous songs, like this one from Big and Rich's John Rich where he writes, "The greatest all around talent ever in country music."

Extremely sad to hear that Glen Campbell has passed away. My prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family.

Jake Owen posted his own version of his favorite Campbell song. Campbell's daughter Ashley posting a picture of her holding her fathers hand on Instagram, writing, "Heartbroken. I owe him everything I am, and everything I ever will be."

Campbell announced he had Alzheimer's in June 2011. In addition to "Wichita Lineman" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," he had hits with "Galveston," "Rhinestone Cowboy" and Allen Toussaint's "Southern Nights."
