Eran Riklis is at the 37th Torino Film Festival as juror of the official competition Torino 37. The Israeli director is also presenting, in the Festa Mobile section, his latest film Spider In The Web, starring Ben Kingsley and Monica Bellucci. As it is a spy story depicting a Mossad agent at the end of his career who doesn’t want to retire, the film is exploring the relationship between the old and the new wondering what we can learn from who’s ahead of us in terms of age and expertise and viceversa. Eran Riklis comments his casting choices starting from Ben Kingley to Itay Tiran and Monica Bellucci.

Spider In The Web: Surrounded by lies and deceit, veteran secret agent, Adereth, can no longer distinguish between enemy and ally. Corruption is detected in the production of Syrian chemical weapons and after a shocking kidnap, Adereth is brought in for one final mission. With the help of his accomplice, Daniel, Adereth searches for answers and soon forges a relationship with Angela. But when the mysterious woman appears and the lines of trust with his superiors begin to blur, Adereth realises the hunter may become the hunted in a world of mirrors and deceit.
