On the heals of the release of Ascend, Nine Lashes' fifth album, lead singer Jeremy Dunn took a few minutes of out the hectic promotional busyness to sit down with Joe to discuss the many changes that the release represents for the band. For long time fans, Ascend is a significant departure from the hard as nails, driving rock approach that defined their previous releases. Instead, the Alabama band has indulged their musical curiosity and have branched out into an unexpected direction - pop/rock. Jeremy doesn't apologize for the new sounds and hopes that long-time fans will come along for the ride. We hope you enjoy our quick conversation with the Nine Lashes front man.
