When she was 19 years old, Adina Kamkhatchi saved up $100 and decided that she was going to make her own jewelry - and so she did. She took the subway up to 47th Street and she bought materials to handcraft pieces of jewelry at her kitchen table. After starting to sell her jewelry on Instagram, and recruiting her brother Meyer as CEO, Adina’s side hustle began to flourish. In just 2 years, Adina’s Jewels had reached over $1M in sales, all from a hundred bucks. Today, Adina and Meyer’s self-funded multi-million dollar business has over 1500 SKU’s in its shop in Brooklyn, in department stores across the country, and in the hands of A-list celebrities, like Arianna Grande and Billie Eilish.
