Valerie David is an award-winning actress and writer. Her comedic multi–award-winning, one-woman show The Pink Hulk: One Woman’s Journey to Find the Superhero Within chronicles her motivational journey to become a three-time cancer survivor. Awards include: the Wow Award from Sweden’s Gothenburg Fringe Festival and is the national recipient of The Colby Award for Excellence in the Arts. Valerie’s new solo show, Baggage From BaghDAD: Becoming My Father’s Daughter, recently won the Spoken Word and Theatre Award in Stockholm, which is about her father and his family fleeing Iraq in 1941 from religious persecution and building a new life in America.
