Manage episode 170840789 series 1258931
This show is a Proud and vibrant member of the RPG Academy Network. Check out the other shows on the network like a personal favorite of mine, She’s A Super Geek. Emily & Senda invite notable guests onto their show to play silly (and sometimes very serious) rpgs and to highlight the many contributions women have made to our hobby. It’s great fun, and their show introduced me to some of my favorite creators and personalities. Just whatever you do, don’t bring up pandas… wait who’s there? WAIT NO NOT THE GLITTER!!!
Hello friends, and welcome back to another wonderful episode of Game Closet, the podcast highlighting queer and LGBT+ people in the tabletop games community. We have two wonderful guests this week, the Storybrewers, all the way from Australia, to tell you about their new Kickstarter. I talk with Hayley & Veronica about harsh worlds, the power of mythology, and their project, Alas For The Awful Sea. Alas is running it’s kickstarter right now, and they’ve already funded in just a few short days. I’ll have a link to support their project in the show notes. I do have one quick announcement which is that Sad Things On Index Cards, my zine about microgames, just opened submissions for its second issue. The theme is Augury, and all profits will go towards Planned Parenthood. To learn more on how to submit games, essays, poetry, or art, visit the link above.
Game Closet: interviewing LGBT+ people in tabletop gaming, creators, fans, anyone! Interviews would talk about personal experiences, games with (or without) LGBT+ representations or themes, or using queer content in gaming. Are you queer or LGBT+ and want to be featured on The Game Closet? Check out our Contact Us page! You can also check out the articles mentioned in the show by checking out our collection of queer/LGBT+ roleplaying resources.
