What a crazy week it's been in TV land! Shows being cancelled and renewed all over the place as the US networks organise their Upfront presentations and schedules for the next season. We have a bumper edition of the podcast this week as we take look at the new shows to coming soon to your telly-box, along with all the last week's renewals and cancellations. We also have an interview with 'Once Upon A Time' Composer Cindy O'Connor.
Cindy has been writing music since the age of five and has spent most of her adult life working as a composer for film and television. She previously scored the NBC drama 'The Black Donnellys', along with Starz’s series 'Crash'. She has also worked as an ensemble musician for 'The Conjuring 2', 'The Hangover Part III', and 'Wreck-It-Ralph'. Cindy also applies her musical ability to a diverse range of mediums beyond TV & film, including work in musical theatre. She recently co-created a Lord of The Flies parody musical, 'Flies!', set to premiere in May in Chicago.
Cindy's most recent work has been scoring the music for 'Once Upon A Time' alongside fellow composers Michael D. Simon and Mark Isham... That show has a LOT of music! She talks about the process of composing when there are three people behind the music, her favourite characters to write for, and how her musical theatre background influences her work.
