It's been another lovely sunny week here in the UK, so what better way to spend your time than sitting in the sunshine listening to this week's Geektown Radio podcast. We have all the usually tv air date info and tv news, plus an interview with Siddhartha Khosla, the composer for US smash hit tv series 'This Is Us'.

Siddhartha Khosla is the composer for hit multi-award winning series, ‘This Is Us’, starring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia. Siddhartha’s music weaves together the vignettes of a family’s past and present. In addition, Siddhartha leads his critically acclaimed band, Goldspot, whose album “Aerogramme” topped the Los Angeles Times Pop Music Editor's Year End Best Albums list in 2017, earning #1 Album of the Year. Siddhartha also scores E! Network’s ‘The Royals’ starring Elizabeth Hurley, and was the man behind the music for ‘Marvel’s Runaways’.

Siddhartha was born in America after his Indian-born parents came to the US in pursuit of the American dream. At the age of two, he went back to India to be raised by his grandparents, while his parents established a foundation in the US. This unique upbringing strengthened his love and passion for music and recording and influenced his distinctive sound.

In the interview, we chat about how Siddhartha goes about composing the soulful sound of ‘This Is Us’. We also cover how a self-described “Indian guy from Jersey” created the powerful, and Billboard chart-topping, soul ballad "We Can Always Come Back to This" for William’s band in the heart-wrenching episode, “Memphis”, in Season 1.
