This bonus episode is a special conversation between Claire and Noelle Tarr of Coconuts & Kettlebells and the Well Fed Women Podcast. Both Claire and Noelle experienced serious postpartum mood disorders following the births of their first children, and we have always felt that these topics just aren’t talked about widely enough. It’s reported that at least 1 in 7 women experience postpartum mood disorders like postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety, yet many of us have never heard someone discuss what it’s like to actually go through it. This episode is an honest conversation about our individual experiences, including the moments we both knew we needed help, what we did to recover, how to better prepare for the postpartum period if you are pregnant, and what you may want to look out for if you are a new mom or know a new mom. Specific resources talked about in this episode: http://www.postpartum.net/ and Children’s Hospital Colorado Healthy Expectations Program Find more from Noelle at CoconutsandKettlebells.com, on the Well Fed Women Podcast, or on Instagram @coconutsandkettlebells Support the podcast!
