Busy Thursday episode of GCR. At the top, we deal with the Ronald Acuna/Jose Urena thing, which was COMPLETE NONSENSE. But maybe Keith Hernandez has a point. Like if I'm a salesperson and a rival of mine is having a good month, I can roundhouse kick them to the face, right? After that, we transition into a topic we've danced around this week-are we at all conflicted about rooting for Maryland this season? Late in Hour 1, our buddy Patrick Stevens from The Athletic checked in to discuss the tumultuous week for Maryland football, moving forward with Matt Canada as interim coach, Ricky Lindo joining the basketball team and new college lacrosse rules. Plus-can he name the teams Melky Cabrera and Jose Bautista have played for in their careers? To lead off Hour 2, Coach Lori Locust joined the show. She spent her summer working as a defensive coaching intern with the Baltimore Ravens. She told us about the experience and shared some insight about what to expect from the defense. Near the bottom of Hour 2 we addressed an issue with a previous bet we had made...Kyle can't make it to the Smash Mouth show. So what do we do? And we wrapped Hour 2 by chatting with Ravens OL Nico Siragusa about getting back on the field after missing his rookie season.
