In this episode I got to sit down with Victoria City Councillor Jeremy Loveday. I found it pretty enlightening how the city runs itself, and our level of input or lack thereof (which is on us), not to mention how his job has a very minimal ‘actual’ job description.
We cover a bunch of ground, including: municipal vs provincial/federal; what the municipal government takes care of and how they do it; biweekly council meetings; our current housing crisis; how major donations in politics & campaigns should be discarded; and more… Also, check out Jeremy’s poetry – the guy has talent.
