The modern web is a crazy place. We started with a simple protocol that gave us formatted text that was flexible about the way it was displayed, to active processing of user input, to globe spanning integration at all scales. It sometimes seem like the web services of the 2020’s has infinite variety and complexity. It would be a mistake to think that breadth of services and the economies of scale that has emerged to service them hasn’t cause some brand new problems. In the final episode of Internet fundamentals, we’ll go over some problems unique to this environment we find ourselves in.
