JULY 5, 2017 - It's THE DAILY SHOW WEEKLY PODCAST, a rewatch hosted by Vic Shuttee (@VicShuttee) and Chandler Dean (@chandlerjdean)! Twere the tweets heard round the world, Trump body slammed CNN, then mocked Morning Joe’s Mika. But lo, as the decaying era of Titty and Weed comes crashing down to begat something new, something slightly less angry Libertarian – we see the birth of something closer to JUST BARELY TELEVISION. There’s plenty of awkward to go around this week from Vance in drag, Tori Amos going full 51/50 on Jon and Steve Carell sees first hand the terror of the bloody Civil War… reenactments. Lennox Lewis bailed on the program, but Christina Ricci, Yasmine Bleeth, and Bill Maher show up and Jon endorses a candidate for the 2000 election! It is probably not who you’d think. The Daily Show Weekly: A Vic and Chandler Rewatch is an unofficial fan podcast designed to serve as a critical companion to the “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, which belongs to Comedy Central and can be watched in clips at CC.com. Our thoughts and criticism are intended to offer historical reflection and enhance the viewing experience for new and old fans journeying through Jon Stewart’s seminal talk show run. Our awesome album artwork is designed by Felipe Flores Comics, and our theme music is by Michael Turnage!
