Paul Smith lives in upstate New York with his wife and two sons, where he works with emotionally disturbed and mentally ill children. He earned a master’s degree in social sciences from Binghamton University in A lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy, and superhero stories influences Paul’s writing. His most recent work was a popular weekly online series that generated over 20,000 views. The World Paul has crafted centers around fifteen-year-old Jason Hewes, a typical straight B student: smart but no academic genius. While other kids in his small Montana town focus on sports, Jason’s playing fantasy role-playing computer games and working as a janitor for the local museum. Jason’s interests make him a target for the local school bully, a sports-obsessed thug whose only talent lies in making Jason’s life as miserable as possible.
