Hashtag 59's Season 3 Podcast is 50 Episodes long and each episode will provide FIVE outdoor adventures in each of the US's 50 states. We are doing these episodes in ABC Order of the states and episode ten is Georgia. The goal is to give you ideas and opportunities to experience outdoor adventure anywhere and everywhere in the United States of America. Here's our list for Georgia: 1. Hike the beginning or the end of the AT! 2. Adventure in Jekyll Island Forest. This is the first place Mike R was stung by a jellyfish :). Driftwood beach is one of several spots to adventure there!! 3. Camp on Cucumber Island: Only a certain number of people are allowed on the National Seashore at a time so you never have to worry about overpopulated trails or campsites. You can also see the Dungeness Ruins of the Carnegie family mansion on the island. 4. Explore Savannah with its historic district and spanish moss covering trees. While there, take a trip to Tybee Island - they have a lighthouse and a fort from the Civil War (Ft. Pulaski) to visit 5. If you are in Atlanta, take a trip to the Georgia Aquarium, which is the largest in the world and then take a walk through the Botanical Gardens.
