It was the deadliest string of shark attacks the world has ever seen. In 2011, sharks in Réunion, a beautiful island, way out in the Indian Ocean started biting people way more than ever before and with lunatic violence. The epidemic forced local surfers, politicians, and business owners into a proxy war with ocean lovers and conservationists worldwide, where long simmering tensions boiled over. Réunion: Shark Attacks in Paradise is the story of what happened on this beautiful island, and t ...

Like the Halloween full moon, 2020’s Winter Solstice will bring a rare astronomical event too: a planetary alignment between Jupiter and Saturn. But that’s not the only rarity that’s happening with the Great Conjunction.
From an astronomy standpoint, the two biggest planets haven't been this closely aligned in almost 800 years. Since March 4, 1226, which is 794 years ago.
That's a pretty big deal.
But there are a couple of other things about this Great Conjunction that haven't happened in a while from an astrology perspective too:

But there are a couple of other things about this Great Conjunction that haven't happened in a while from an astrology perspective too:
- Great Conjunctions stay in the same element for about 200 years or so. For the last 218 years, they've taken place in earth signs,. However, on December 21, during the Winter Solstice, Jupiter and Saturn will unite in Aquarius, an air sign.
- That’s the first time that’s happened in about 600 years.
In this episode, Court looks at the end of one era and the dawn of another.
P.S. Whoopsie strikes again! (Whoopsie is one of my nicknames.) Pardon the misspeak where I repeat "astrology" after the part where I say, "Whether you believe in the astrology of Jupiter and Saturn aligning or not..." I obviously meant to say "the astronomy of it is real."
