After two years of having to live around the circumstances of this pandemic, we cannot deny that we’ve all fallen into a space of fatigue where living life seems to be a never-ending burden to face already.

Do you feel like there’s no light at the end of this hell already, that this, too, is how our future is going to be?

At some point, we lost a hobby, a job, and even a member of our family. We all lost two years of our life to this pandemic.

Nevertheless, may we never get so tired to the point that it is already ourselves that we’re going to lose here.

Dr. Samineh I. Shaheem is a Cross-cultural Psychology / Leadership Professor, Learning & Development Consultant, and is a Keynote Speaker who helps people reach their greatest potential through customized personal and professional growth opportunities and education. She’s been in the industry for nearly 25 years now, aiming to spread the application of psychological and adult educational principles and practices in one’s life.

Check Dr. Samineh’s TED talk called “This Talk will Change Your Life”.

In this episode, Dr. Samineh and Dr. Adrienne talk about confronting our COVID fatigue as they share stories and tips on how to effectively live life in the midst of this pandemic.

What you will learn from this episode:

● Discover the three (3) P’s that will help you see things in a better perspective, especially now that we’re still in this pandemic;

● Understand the importance of going for opportunities that bring joy in your life; and

● Find out how you can face the fatigue this COVID 19 pandemic has brought us through tips from an expert herself

“You have a choice and controllability. We have a responsibility to ourselves. It’s not easy and we have to override our default modalities to be able to design a system that is more conducive to our health and wellbeing, but that design is in your hands. You’re the architect and engineer of being able to do that.”– Dr. Samineh I. Shaheem
Key Takeaways:

“We really need to give ourselves credit for where we’ve been, what we’ve survived, what we’ve achieved during this time, and really not to underestimate the impact that it’s had on us.” – Dr. Samineh I. Shaheem

“A problem shared is a problem halved.” – Dr. Samineh I. Shaheem

“Don’t personalize. When we go through an adversity of this scale, it’s very important to be able to put it in a category that it belongs in so it doesn’t become pervasive and impact other areas of our life. We have a fantastic expression that says ‘this, too, shall pass’.” – Dr. Samineh I. Shaheem
