Under sidste års Heartland mødtes seniorforsker Rikke Frank Jørgensen med journalist Christina Boutrup til en snak om nutidens og fremtidens overvågningssamfund. Foran et live publikum i festivalens Future Talks-telt forsøgte de to deltagere at give et bud på, hvor grænsen går mellem overvågning af borgere og borgernes menneskerettigheder.

Rikke Frank Jørgensen er seniorforsker ved Dansk institut for menneskerettigheder, hvor hun særligt fokuserer på grænsefladen mellem teknologi og mennesker, og de udfordringer teknologien har medført i forhold til privatliv, ytringsfrihed og de digitale brugeres generelle rettigheder.

Christina Boutrup er erhvervjournalist, Kina-ekspert og fatteren bag bogen Den store tech-revolution om Kinas teknologiske udvikling. En udvikling der på nuværende tidspunkt gør Kina til et af de førende lande, når det for eksempel handler om kunstig intelligens og den digitale økonomi generelt.

Samtalen modereres af digital trendanalytiker, direktør for Elektronista Media og tidligere 24syv-radiovært Christiane Vejlø.
